ON AND AROUND THE CAMPSITE
The little river Le Therme, which flows at the foot of the terrain, offers refreshment in the summer. Along the river there are lots of nice places to spend the afternoon. Small children can safely play in the shallow areas and on the various sandy beaches but there are also some deeper pools under the waterfalls.
The nearby area around La Solane offers endless hiking opportunities. Maps are available, and we are happy to tell you about the best routes. You can also explore the surroundings on your own and children are free to play around in the forest and fields.

MORE IN FRANCE
Visit the artistic village of Céret with its famous Saturday market, discover the medieval village and fort of Prats-de-Mollo, or spend a day in Perpignan. If you want to spend time in a larger swimming pool, there is one in Saint-Laurent-de-Cerdans. Within an hour and a half, you can have your feet in the sand at the Mediterranean Sea and explore coastal towns such as Collioure and Port-Vendres.
VISIT SPAIN
Drive south, and a completely different world opens up as you cross the Spanish border. With a bit of a hike, you can reach Tapis, a tiny hamlet with a large restaurant and a beautiful view all the way to the sea. If you drive a bit further there is Maçanet de Cabrenys, a slightly bigger village with an old village bar and some restaurants. By car, it takes an hour to reach the Spanish coast but if that’s too far there is also Darnius Lake. The closest city is Figueres where you can go to the Dalí Museum but there is also Girona which has a beautiful historic center. Barcelona is also reachable as a day or weekend trip, as it is a 2.5 hour drive, so if you want to be in the city for a bit that is also possible.
